Hola pandemic pals!<\/span>
                                    I\u2019ve been on sabbatical for the past month, did I miss anything? Haha, but that\u2019s not really a joke. After stepping back from news and social media during my retreat, I\u2019m here to tell you that not much has changed in the past 30 days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sure, Joe Biden was elected President. And that\u2019s certainly worth celebrating, but COVID-19 doesn\u2019t really care that the current US leader is a lame duck. The pandemic\u2019s getting worse every day in that country and the time between now and January 20th will be measured in lives lost. <\/span><\/p>\n

The rest of the world isn\u2019t exactly having a great go of it. <\/span>Denmark almost \u201cculled\u201d its entire population of mink<\/a> (who still wears fur anyway?) and Boris Johnson\u2019s pretty much thrown his hands up in despair as the UK deals with a resurgence the likes of which everyone could have predicted. <\/span><\/p>\n

But wait! There\u2019s a vaccine now! <\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m really sorry for this, but that doesn\u2019t change things (for right now) as much as we\u2019d all like to believe. Let\u2019s turn to Ivanka Trump for details:<\/span><\/p>\n

Sounds good right? Let\u2019s break the numbers down a bit though.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pfizer\u2019s <\/span>already stated<\/a> that it will be able to produce \u201cup to 50 million vaccine doses in 2020 and up to 1.3 billion doses in 2021.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

In this little section, we\u2019d like to discuss the tech that\u2019s getting us through the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Let me tell you about my sabbatical! Unfortunately I ended up pretty sick through most of it, so I spent the vast majority of it testing out subscription entertainment services (got another trial for Hulu, tried out Shudder, and finally paid for another month of PlayStation Now).<\/p>\n

I\u2019m currently re-binging It\u2019s <\/span>Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em> <\/span>and playing old games such as <\/span>GTAV<\/em> and <\/span>Far Cry Primal<\/em>. I got really into <\/span>Mass Effect 2<\/em> (again) for a couple of days during my break, but then it was all but confirmed that <\/span>the remaster<\/a> <\/span>would be happening so I set that aside.<\/p>\n

I also bought my fianc\u00e9e some tattoo machines for her birthday (since we\u2019re not really comfortable going to parlors during the pandemic) and that\u2019s pretty much become a lifestyle around my house.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not saying that I\u2019ve got everything figured out\u2026 but it\u2019s all beach life, video games, and tattoos around here.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nWell, bye<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pandemic isn\u2019t over and we\u2019re all in this together.<\/p>\n

The good news is that doing your part is easy peasy lemon squeezy:<\/p>\n

1. Wear a mask.
2. Stay 2-3 meters away from others in public spaces.
3. Support government officials who take the pandemic seriously.<\/p>\n
