One of the effective ways to do this is to use Tor Browser.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How does Tor browser work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In its simplest form, Tor uses a set of nodes \u2014 called relays \u2014 to mask your identity when you try to visit a website.<\/p>\n<p>These relays help keep your data <a href=\"https:\/\/thenextweb.com\/topics\/privacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">private<\/a> from websites and your Internet Service Provider (ISP). So as soon as you close your browser window, your preferences for a website are reset.<\/p>\n<p>With Tor, you can also use onion services sites, which hides the site\u2019s identity from ISPs, to get information. You can browse through this list to check which services have their own .onion websites.<\/p>\n<p>You can download the Tor browser from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.torproject.org\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>So where do Tor Bridges come in?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>While Tor relays help you hide your traces on the internet, they are publicly listed. The simplest way is to click on <em>Select a built-in bridge<\/em>, and select any of the options: obfs4, snowflake, and meek-azure. You can read about what each of these means <a href=\"https:\/\/tb-manual.torproject.org\/circumvention\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Another option is to click on the <em>Request a new bridge from torproject.org<\/em> option, and connect to a new one that pops up in the window.<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, you can visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bridges.torproject.org\/bridges?transport=obfs4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">the Bridges site<\/a> to manually get a bridge. Once you get a bridge, you can paste it in the <em>Provide a bridge<\/em> section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How does Snowflake works?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Snowflake is a censorship circumvention tool that uses WebRTC \u2014 a commonly used communication protocol in browsers \u2014 to connect to proxies, and help you access websites.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers can run a Snowflake extension in their Chrome and Firefox browsers, and they\u2019ll act as ephemeral proxy instances. The first step is to download an extension for <a href=\"https:\/\/snowflake.torproject.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Chrome or Firefox from here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve downloaded the extension, it\u2019ll automatically run a Snowflake proxy instance for you.
