{"id":12945,"date":"2023-05-15T11:01:19","date_gmt":"2023-05-15T11:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/TheNextWeb=1396434"},"modified":"2023-05-15T11:01:19","modified_gmt":"2023-05-15T11:01:19","slug":"dutch-students-unveil-worlds-most-efficient-hydrogen-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.londonchiropracter.com\/?p=12945","title":{"rendered":"Dutch students unveil \u2018world\u2019s most efficient\u2019 hydrogen car"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span>At the beginning of May, a student team from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vAwYVS-Qm5Y&amp;t=3440s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><span>unveiled<\/span><\/a><span> what could be the world\u2019s most efficient hydrogen car.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Dubbed ERXII, the vehicle is slated to cover over 2,000km on just 1kg of hydrogen fuel \u2014 equivalent to the distance between Amsterdam and Kyiv.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This claim will be tested in June at Shell\u2019s Eco-Marathon event in France. With a constant speed of 45kph, the ERXII should be able to cover 2,056km within three days.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This is one of several hydrogen cars developed by Eco-Runner in recent years. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cEfficiency and reliability are the main focus of this year\u2019s project,\u201d said team leader Julian de Klerk. \u201cWhile the previous concept proved efficient, this year, we aimed for improved reliability for the record we\u2019re trying to set. While most of the emphasis in the passenger car segment has been on <a href=\"https:\/\/thenextweb.com\/topic\/ev\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EVs<\/a>, the team at Eco-Runner believes that hydrogen-powered city cars also have a place on the tarmac.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cElectric cars are also part of the solution for sustainable mobility, but the electricity grid is already filling up,\u201d said <\/span><span>operations manager Eliane van Boxtel. <\/span><span>\u201cElectrifying the whole world is not an option. Hydrogen and electric cars go hand in hand.
