The streaming giant recently started testing <span>using machine learning to automatically add chapters to videos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The company announced the trial&nbsp;on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/youtube\/thread\/18138167?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">YouTube test features&nbsp;<span>and experiments<\/span>&nbsp;page<\/a> o<span>f the Google Support website<\/span>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p><span>We want to make it easier for people to navigate videos with video chapters, so we are experimenting with automatically adding video chapters (so creators don\u2019t have to manually add timestamps). We\u2019ll use machine learning to recognize text in order to auto generate video chapters. But creators currently have to manually add the timestamps to their video descriptions.
