The European Space Agency\u2019s budget for 2024 has hit a record \u20ac7.79bn \u2014 10% more than last year.<\/p>\n

The largest portion of the funds will go to Earth observation (EO), which is allocated almost \u20ac2.4bn \u2014 around 30.5% of the total.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a share that reflects growing demands for satellite-based monitoring of our planet. The data can play a powerful role in managing pressing global challenges, such as climate change and natural disasters.<\/p>\n

After EO, the biggest chunks of ESA\u2019s<\/a> budget go to navigation and space<\/a> transportation, which bag around \u20ac1bn each.<\/p>\n
