It is also considering using chips from AMD alongside its own semiconductors, Microsoft\u2019s President Brad Smith <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/microsoft-invest-32-bln-swedish-cloud-ai-2024-06-03\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a> in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next three years, the company will also provide AI skills training to 250,000 people at schools, universities, organisations, and in the public sector. That\u2019s equivalent to approximately 2.4% of the entire Swedish population.<\/p>\n<p>The programme will focus on technical and vocational education for students, retraining for industry-specific professions, and expert training for developers. According to this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/aiindex.stanford.edu\/report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">AI Index Report<\/a> from Stanford University, Sweden ranks third globally in the demand for AI skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMicrosoft is committed to increasing accessibility and accelerating the introduction of AI throughout the Nordics, including Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden,\u201d Smith said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>AI use is rapidly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.silo.ai\/ebooks-reports\/nordic-state-of-ai-third-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">increasing<\/a> in the Nordic countries. But according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/finansforbundet.dk\/media\/2z4mgccl\/ai-i-norden_engelsk.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">recent report<\/a> by Danish think tank Mandag Morgen, Sweden is lagging behind.
