{"id":1817,"date":"2020-12-17T00:49:29","date_gmt":"2020-12-17T00:49:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenextweb.com\/?p=1332273"},"modified":"2020-12-17T00:49:29","modified_gmt":"2020-12-17T00:49:29","slug":"googles-latest-chromecast-is-finally-getting-apple-tv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.londonchiropracter.com\/?p=1817","title":{"rendered":"Google\u2019s latest Chromecast is finally getting Apple TV"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img-cdn.tnwcdn.com\/image\/plugged?filter_last=1&amp;fit=1280%2C640&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn0.tnwcdn.com%2Fwp-content%2Fblogs.dir%2F1%2Ffiles%2F2020%2F12%2FSnag_24e44eeb.png&amp;signature=ba307477b04e9d9588d7eda2fb288f9c\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>If you\u2019re a Google TV user who\u2019s been dying to watch some Apple TV+ content, I have some good news: an Apple TV app is finally coming to the latest Chromecast in \u201cearly 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As noted by Google in <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/products\/google-tv\/apple-tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">its announcement post<\/a>, that will make the <a href=\"https:\/\/thenextweb.com\/plugged\/2020\/09\/30\/the-new-50-chromecast-with-google-tv-and-a-remote-is-now-official\/\">Chromecast with Google TV<\/a> \u201cone of the only streaming devices will all the major video subscriptions.\u201d Apple TV+ was pretty much the only one left.<\/p>\n<p>Google specifically mentions the latest Chromecast in its blog post, not Android TV devices in general, so it\u2019s not clear if the app will make its way over to devices like the Nvidia Shield as well. There\u2019s no obvious reason why it wouldn\u2019t work on Google TV as well as Android TV, but it\u2019s possible Google and Apple have some kind of partnership deal in place.<\/p>\n<p>The move follows the recent availability of Apple Music on Google Assistant devices, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/products\/google-nest\/never-miss-beat-apple-music-now-available-new-nest-audio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">announced just last week<\/a>.
