Failure to do so would lead to WhatsApp deleting your account.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__gutter\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__gutter__right\" data-qa=\"message_content\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__blocks c-message_kit__blocks--rich_text\">\n<div class=\"c-message__message_blocks c-message__message_blocks--rich_text\">\n<div class=\"p-block_kit_renderer\" data-qa=\"block-kit-renderer\">\n<div class=\"p-block_kit_renderer__block_wrapper p-block_kit_renderer__block_wrapper--first\" readability=\"9\">\n<div class=\"p-rich_text_block\" dir=\"auto\" readability=\"38\">\n<p>You\u2019re probably not the only one who may have skipped reading the new terms. However, changes in the privacy policy of a chat app with more than 2 billion users are noteworthy. Plus, the firm will use your data collected from the app and other Facebook services for content suggestions, people recommendations, and ads along with service improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook has already integrated <a href=\"https:\/\/thenextweb.com\/apps\/2020\/08\/17\/facebook-begins-the-instagram-dm-and-messenger-merge\/\">Instagram and Messenger for cross-platform communication<\/a>. For instance, an in-app video player may know your IP address. While allowing in-app interactions may add convenience to users, it\u2019s important to know what information they\u2019re giving away in exchange.<\/p>\n<p>WhatsApp\u2019s changes come on the heels of controversy that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/zakdoffman\/2021\/01\/03\/whatsapp-beaten-by-apples-new-imessage-update-for-iphone-users\/?sh=212760c33623\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">suggests the chat app collects much more data than Apple\u2019s iMessage,<\/a> if we go by the App Store\u2019s privacy label.
