The idea of being able to travel between major cities in minutes rather than hours is certainly an exciting idea. But that\u2019s just it, it\u2019s an idea, and a long <em>long<\/em> way from reality.<\/p>\n<p>If you need something a little closer to reality to keep your high-speed train\/tube travel whistle wet, check out this new magnetic levitation \u2014 maglev \u2014 train from China.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ihSPEWyTRwk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The prototype unveiled by researchers at Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China, and is unlike other maglev trains.
