It\u2019s expected to deliver&nbsp;10 exaflops of FP16 AI performance, which will be harnessed by Cineca researchers to simulate planetary forces behind climate change and molecular movements inside a coronavirus molecule.<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia said its computing platform will accelerate the high-performance workloads while combining extremely high throughput and low power consumption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re working with Cineac and Atos to accelerate scientific discovery across a broad range of application domains, providing a platform to usher in the era of exascale computing,\u201d&nbsp;said Marc Hamilton, Nvidia\u2019s VP of solutions architecture and engineering.<\/p>\n<p><em>[Read:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thenextweb.com\/neural\/2020\/10\/05\/nvidia-is-building-the-uks-fastest-supercomputer-to-use-for-ai-research-in-healthcare\/\">Nvidia is building the UK\u2019s fastest supercomputer to use for AI research in healthcare<\/a>]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Leonardo will be the centerpiece of a quartet of new high-performance computers backed by <a href=\"https:\/\/eurohpc-ju.europa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">EuroHPC<\/a>, a public-private partnership formed to develop a world-class supercomputing ecosystem in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining three systems are planned for the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Slovenia.
