Well, to be fair Honda\u2019s still making cars, only now it\u2019s seriously expanding its business areas to form a \u201cmobility ecosystem\u201d that stretches into new dimensions \u2014 both literally and figuratively \u2014 and ultimately to outer space.<\/span><\/p>\n

Honda R&D Co., the company\u2019s innovations arm, will be leading the efforts to produce an eVTOL<\/a> (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft, an avatar robot, and space tech. <\/span><\/p>\n

Honda\u2019s eVTOL<\/h3>\n

First up, Honda\u2019s foray into an entirely new dimension\u2026 <\/span>up<\/i>. The Japanese automaker didn\u2019t disclose many details about its upcoming eVTOL. But what the company did divulge was that the aircraft\u2019s electric motor will also be supported by a gas turbine hybrid power unit.<\/span><\/p>\n
