The Nintendo Switch OLED has arrived! In case you missed the announcement<\/a>, this is an updated version of the Japanese game giant\u2019s record-breaking console.<\/p>\n

There is one issue though (and it\u2019s something we explored in this comparison piece<\/a>): on paper, the OLED model isn\u2019t that<\/em> different from the regular Switch. This is disappointing \u2014 especially for people excited about the potential of a Pro Switch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t worry! All is not lost yet \u2014 because we\u2019re gonna find out the truth in this Nintendo Switch OLED review.<\/p>\n

Now, we could cover it in a regular way like every other tech publication (YAWN), but where\u2019s the spice or excitement in that? That was a rhetorical question, but I\u2019m feeling so juiced up, I\u2019ll answer it anyway: nowhere.<\/em><\/p>\n

With this in mind, we\u2019re left with one option: review the console as though it was a Pok\u00e9mon card. Sorta.<\/p>\n

Honestly, this is going to be more like a Top Trump card<\/a> \u2014 but I believe those are less common internationally. Basically, we\u2019re going to give both the regular Switch and the OLED model \u201cabilities\u201d with attached scores. Then they\u2019re gonna battle out to find out who wins.<\/p>\n

Considering Nintendo began its journey selling playing cards<\/a>, I think the company would approve of this decision.<\/p>\n

Choosing the categories for the Nintendo OLED Switch review<\/h2>\n

If we\u2019re going to make the OLED Switch and the regular model scrap to the death, we\u2019re going to have to choose a series of categories for them to compete in. I\u2019m gonna cap it at five, because that\u2019s a nice round number. And I\u2019m tired. Very tired.<\/p>\n
