Here are four key facts about the mission.<\/p>\n<h2>It\u2019s China\u2019s longest crewed mission yet<\/h2>\n<p>The crew is heading for Tiangong, <span>China\u2019s first long-term space station, <\/span>which is being constructed <span>in&nbsp;<\/span><a title=\"Low Earth orbit\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Low_Earth_orbit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">low Earth orbit<\/a><span>. She went on to join China\u2019s first batch of female astronauts in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Wang on the mission are <span>Major General Zhai Zhigang, who will command the mission, and Senior Colonel Ye Guangfu, who is taking his maiden space flight.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>It\u2019s the fifth mission to assemble the Chinese space station<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Shenzhou-13 will be the fifth of 11 missions needed to complete the Tiangong space station.<\/p>\n<p>The finished space station will<span> weigh around 66 tonnes. That\u2019s one-fifth the weight of the <\/span>International Space Station \u2014 the only other space station in orbit \u2014 which the US has barred China from joining.<\/p>\n<p><span>Tiangong, which means \u201cHeavenly Palace,\u201d is expected to be operational for at least 10 years. It could become the only space station in orbit, as the ISS will&nbsp;likely be retired&nbsp;within the decade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The space station will be used to conduct scientific research and develop tech for future missions into space.<\/p>\n<h2>You can watch the launch live<\/h2>\n<p><span>Shenzhou-13 will take off from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert of Inner Mongolia \u2014 and you can catch a live stream of the launch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Liftoff is scheduled for precisely 12:23 AM Beijing Time, which is 12:23 PM EST and 6.23 PM CET.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>CGTN, an English-language cable TV news service based in Beijing, will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6rMV1d3nflw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">show all the action on YouTube<\/a>.
