It\u2019s a reasonable concern. T<\/span>he most tricked-out version of the 16-inch <span>M1 Max MacBook Pro will cost you<\/span> $6,099, <em>before tax \u2014<\/em> with the cheapest M1 Max build crossing the $3,000 mark. A huge sum, but with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/newsroom\/2021\/10\/introducing-m1-pro-and-m1-max-the-most-powerful-chips-apple-has-ever-built\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">new chips<\/a> and high specs, there\u2019s no doubt you\u2019ll get a beast of a machine\u2026 <span>but who&nbsp;<\/span><i data-stringify-type=\"italic\">really<span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><span>needs a machine that beastly?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Being a staunch advocate of democracy, I\u2019m going to let Twitter provide us with the answers. That, friends, is called working smart.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Work, work, work, work, work, work<\/h2>\n<p>While a lot of Twitter users echo the point we\u2019ve made before that Apple\u2018s new hardware <a href=\"https:\/\/thenextweb.com\/news\/give-me-the-macpad\">won\u2019t revolutionize how we use laptops<\/a> \u2014 and that an 8TB SSD is ludicrously excessive \u2014 there\u2019s plenty of people who are ready to defend it.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"8.3207547169811\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">My brother is a professional composer and music producer. He has purchased a fully specced M1 Max MacBook Pro with 64GB RAM and 8TB SSD.
