If you\u2019re a fan of \u201callegedly,\u201d \u201cpeople close to the source,\u201d and other rumor-inducing phrases \u2014 any coverage about the Apple iCar should be your cup of tea. <\/span><\/span>This week, we heard again the claim that an Apple autonomous electric vehicle, aka Project Titan, will be successfully produced by 2025<\/a>. The question is\u2026 is the car really coming and can we trust the new timeline?<\/span><\/p>\n

First thing first then, is Apple working on car tech? Yes, a 100%<\/a>. But is it working on producing its <\/span>very own car<\/a>, under the moniker iCar, or something more futuristic? Hmm, maybe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Honestly, there isn\u2019t anything concrete about Tim Cook and the gang launching a car, as the rumors are mostly built on various car-related patents that don\u2019t necessarily have to result in the \u2018iCar.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>However, for argument\u2019s sake, let\u2019s assume the Apple Car<\/a> is coming, can we believe the 2025 timeline for its production? I don\u2019t think so. <\/span>I hate to be a party-pooper, but I\u2019m afraid we\u2019ll have to wait a lot<\/i> longer. Even if we assume that the car is a reality, here\u2019s why I believe the 2025 release date to be highly spurious:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
